In flight |
Pilot: Data in C:\t28\data\yr2002\f776\f5031551.raw 5056 buffers:good images 6093 buffers; non-charge mode, collects 10 buffers/sec!; some good buffers and lots of bad ones. 4745 buffers: ok - 194 buffers; good images. - worked ok. - not working! Telemetry worked ok. - FM test - P-static when in precip Due to lack of microphone for oxygen mask, pilot did not wear a mask and flight was conducted at altitudes below 14 kft. Precip was mainly small ice particles falling as virga. |

Pilot: Tom Root 1st flight with TEI 42C-TL NOx analyzer installed. Initially some trouble getting computer to boot. Data in:c:\t28\yr2002\f777\f5231833.raw - 0 records - 829 buffers: lots of bad buffers (stuck bit case) - 2333 buffers: ok - 0 records - did not record any significant data - very small readings (up to 1 ppbv) - it worked this time |

Pilot: Tom Root Data in: c:\t28\yr2002\f778\f6031811.raw - 176 buffers: ok - 113 buffers: but no images, housekeeping does not look good - 6481 buffers: ok - 5 buffers: not really anything recorded. - ok - off - Bad transformer in FSSP took to DMT for repair |

Instruments on T28 2DC HVPS Slow data Hail DMT NOx FSSP |
Pilot: Charlie Summers Data in : c:\t28\data\yr2002\f779\* - no records - 1936 buffers: bad images - 2552 buffers: ok - no records - ok -a spike value at -ok Transponder fails Fuel boost pump fails |

Instruments on T28 2DC HVPS Slow data Hail DMT NOx |
In flight |
Pilot: Charlie SummersData in : c:\t28\data\yr2002\f780\* - 18 buffers with small particles in it. - 3015 buffers: all bad images. -
- Donna adjusted HVPS image on the horizontal axes (x2) - 1798 buffers: ok - none - OK Note: Strong fires SW of Denver; could see the smoke; Charlie flew close to area of smoke, and NOx instrument had ~ 40 ppbv reading! |
June 10 |
Instrumentation tests in hangar |
Verified NO analyzer response at 43 and 90 ppbv Wired new switch for turning on analyzer in flight |

Instruments on T28 2DC HVPS Slow data Hail DMT NOx FSSP |
In flight |
Pilot: Charlie Summers Data in: c:\t28\data\yr2002\f781\f6120025.raw -1642 buffers: good images - 2266 buffers: some good buffers and some not good - 4970 buffers: ok - 620 buffers: looking good - nothing recorded Donna I noted a response during taxi after landing. So the instrument must have been on? - working good NOx analyzer warm up test ~ 30 minutes to settle to 1 ppbv. Contacted SPEC to sent copies of the bad buffers we recorded with HVPS and ask their opinion in how to fix the problem. |
