T-28 Participation in the Cooperative Oklahoma Profiler Studies(COPS)

Overview
From mid-May to Mid-June of 1991 the T-28 participated in the Cooperative Oklahoma Profiler Studies (COPS). The plane was used to provide in-situ microphysical measurements for comparison with radar data from the Cimarron, Ok radar. In addition, the T-28 supplied data for storm dynamicists and electrical researchers.

The standard package of instruments provided for the determination of temperature, vertical wind, electric fields, water content, etc. During COPS the T-28 carried a PMS 2D-P optical probe.
